Summary


This week I start learning about Media. Media is connect and separate people , and media embody many things. In the past, as the white egg connect the wall and powder, now media connect many things. Whatever they are, if they can connect and separate something, they becopme media. and then I read vannevar bush's article 'as we may think'. In this article I met new information.
time passed by, the experience of human and amount of imformation are more increased. but there is no instrument which systematically process them. The method one by one examine and search match data is so simple. But, if we use the another method, we search the imformation simply and quickly. Bush say that Human's memory is very speedy although it is momentary. Because that is the net of a clue and mark of association. then he think 'Memex' . The 'Memex' process many imformation and makes useful data , so it helps mant people.

At the first class I learn new mean about Media. I have been think that media is photograpy, movies, and graphic. That is a hazy idea. First, I can't understand a lecture. But some pictures ( example : white egg , car) help me. After I understand what media mean, I think meaning of media mere open.
In morden society, we may use many imformation through hypertext. but we don't think about who create hypertext first. Because we think that use hypertext is so natural and I think that, too. In the class, I know Vannevar Bush thinks 'Memex' and the 'Memex' is the beginning of hypertext. It is amazing. To me creative thinking is very hard work.At that time, I think 'Memex' is very creative and useful thing.
Umm..... . Although that contain interesting contents and something new to me, the lecture is difficult to me.
